Czech Post’s data mailbox - kr7cdry

  • The maximum acceptable size of a data message is 10 MB.
  • The sender will receive a confirmation of delivery (return receipt); the delivery is deemed to have taken place at the moment when the data message has been downloaded from Czech Post’s data mailbox into the online filing service environment.
  • On delivery, the electronic signature and compliance with all requirements will be checked.
  • A recognized electronic signature based on a qualified system certificate will be attached to the data message sent from Czech Post’s data mailbox.

Handling of messages with an incorrect format:

  • If a file attached to the data message is illegible for technical reasons (invalid message format, violated file integrity, etc.), the sender will be immediately notified about it and the reason for refusal of the message will be explained.

Acceptable formats: DOC/DOCX, PDF/A (Portable Document Format for Long-Term Preservation), PDF (Portable Document Format), XML (Extensible), FO/ZFO (602 XML Filler Document), XLS/XLSX, PPT/PPTX, TXT, RTF (Rich Text Format), JPG/JPEG (Joint Photographic Experts Group File Interchange Format).

Subject to sections 2 and 3 of the Regulation No. 259/2012 Coll., on details of records management services, Czech Post has set up an email address of its central filing service, e-podatelna@cpost.cz, for receipt of official filings, such as proposals, complaints, disclosures in connection with the Act No. 106/1999 Coll., on free access to information, filings in connection with the Act No. 101/2000 Coll., on personal data protection, or with legal duties of Czech Post.

Requirements on online filings:

  • Requests for disclosure under the Act No. 106/1999 Coll., on free access to information, filed in writing do not require a guaranteed electronic signature.
  • Filings under the Act No. 500/2004 Coll., the Rules of Administrative Procedure, as amended, require a guaranteed electronic signature.
  • Complaints, notifications and proposals do not require a guaranteed electronic signature. However, they must contain the sender’s contact details, otherwise such filings will be deemed anonymous.
  • The maximum acceptable size of an incoming data message is 10 MB.
  • Messages filed via Czech Post’s online filing service may contain attachments, i.e. files in the following formats: DOC/DOCX, XLS/XLSX, PPT/PPTX, TXT, RTF (Rich Text Format), JPG/JPEG (Joint Photographic Experts Group File Interchange Format), PDF (Portable Document Format).

Confirmation of delivery:

If Czech Post receives an electronic filing via its online filing service, the sender will be notified about the receipt by an email message sent to the address given in the filing. A recognized electronic signature of Czech Post’s online filing service will be attached to the message. The message will also contain:

  • A brief text about the delivery;
  • Date;
  • Subject of filing; and
  • Unique identifier under which the filing was received.

On receipt of the online filing, the electronic signature will be checked.
